Gaberdine: This type of fabric is a firm &durable compactly woven cloth which shows a diagonal twill on the face, normally 45 or 63 degrees. Traditionally this is made with a cotton yarn.

Gauge: A unit of measurement typically associated with knitted fabric.

Gingham: Cloth with dyed yarns at given intervals in warp and weft to achieve block or check effects. The warp and weft may often be the same and even balanced.

Grosgrain: This fabric is heavy in weight traditionally and has a rather prominent rib. It is made from plain or rib weaves and set to various combinations. It has a dressy appearance and is hence used for such occasions.

Guanaco: Is the fleece hair from the guanaco which is a relatively rare cross breed of llama and alpaca.
